Those Without

I had some work done on my house recently, had an AC installed. I realized during this process that the people who are doing the instillation do not benefit from the work that they do. People who install ACs are always in the heat, for once the AC is installed an cooling the house, their job is done and they are off to the next hot house. People who install new breaker boxes or those who help restore power when it goes out, they have to work in the dark or use battery powered devices. People who write software always see the buggy version, since once they are done, it ships to customers and they begin the next version. So, it seemed to me that those who make something are not the same that enjoy the benefits. Everything you enjoy, everything that is done for you or made for you, the people who did that or created that live without the enjoyment of that, because like the swift running stream, they have already moved on.

Who would then be the ultimate maker? Who would be the person that would fit my description of a being who lives his life without anything, therefore probably is the maker of it all? God would not be the man behind the pearly gates in a mansion, but the homeless man.

The Edward
